Commonly asked questions
How do couples pay?
Couples pay online by credit or debit card. They can pay the whole amount upfront or pay a deposit now and the rest later. If the wedding is more than 90 days away the deposit is spit into 2 payments. The deposit covers our commission and we collect your fee 30 days before the wedding.
When do I get paid?
You’ll be paid automatically 5 days after wedding. This means it something happens and you are ill for the wedding day we can arrange for another photographer to cover for you.
What is the cancellation policy?
Couples can cancel and get a full refund if they cancel within 30 days of booking, and their wedding is more than 20 days away. If they cancel within 30 days of the wedding then you get paid in full, as long as we have been able to collect the money from their card. If they cancel before 30 days you should have time to secure another booking but you don’t get paid. Fortunately cancellations are rare.
Will I always speak to couples before they book?
It is common for couples to book a video call with you through the platform, but sometimes they just book you directly online.
How does wedissimo know I am available?
We will sync with your calendar so we know you are available on that date, and you specify on area that you work in.
When I charge travel expenses?
No. As part of our commitment to reducing the carbon impact of weddings we do not allow charging travel expenses. This encourages couples to book local.
Can I create bespoke packages?
Yes! If a couple messages you and asks for something specific you can create a new listing and send it to them. Usually though couples opt for the existing packages.
Can I set my own terms and conditions?
The standard terms are included in our T&Cs, this includes that you will retain copyright on your images. If you need to add something specific you can add this on your profile but most people find your standard terms are absolutely fine.
Can I pay to get on the homepage?
We assess who goes onto the homepage and appears at the top of the search results based on our data of what couples want.
